Initial Phase

How do I go about getting an estimate?
Impervius offers free estimates for your convenience. Simply contact our office by telephone, fax or email to schedule an appointment to evaluate your roof.

If I would like to go ahead with Impervius, what are the next steps?
Once we have evaluated your roof we will present you with a proposition based on our findings. Should you choose to accept our proposal, simply complete and sign the estimate and forward it to us either by fax, mail or email. Once the signed contract is received, we will then schedule a tentative date for the work to be carried out.

Is Impervius licensed? Insured? Certified?
Impervius is licensed with the RBQ, insured for $5 million in liability, and certified by Soprema (the world-leading manufacturer of membrane).

How long will it take to schedule the work once the contract is signed?
Once the signed contract is received, we will then schedule a tentative date for the work to be carried out. The date is tentative as our industry is reliant on a variety of factors such as weather. However, as we approach this tentative date, we will contact you to confirm or adjust the timeframe. As a general rule, projects are usually scheduled within a couple of weeks from the date the proposal is accepted. If we are not able to get the job started within a reasonable timeframe, we can provide repair services until the work can be scheduled.

Do you have customer references?
Absolutely. Our clients are integral to our organization. We offer potential clients an optional list of references for a first-hand account. However, this list of references is available upon request only for discretionary reasons.

What type of roofs does Impervius do? Why? What’s the difference?
Impervius provides and installs high performance systems for roofs, foundations, and all types of structures. The fundamental criteria for a high performance system is longevity, durability and sustainability. Therefore, we install membranes on flat roofs, and we install metal, slate or shingle on sloped roofs. These are the only systems that meet our criteria, and consequently, the only ones that we install.

Although other systems, such as conventional asphalt & gravel roofs, do not meet our criteria, we can often convert these to a comparable high performance system at a relatively similar cost. In actuality, over the long-term, the high performance system is the more cost-efficient option because of its longevity.

Roofing Phase

Do I need to be home when the roof is being replaced?
Homeowners can be present when the work is being executed, however, it is not necessary. Our mission is to offer our clients an experience that is pleasant and unobtrusive. Therefore, our motivating force is your comfort during the completion of the project.

Should all the metal and vents on my roof be changed?
Typically, Impervius changes all existing accessories on the roof. However, if you have recently installed new metal or vents and they are in good condition, it is possible to re-use them. This decision is job specific and will be considered in conjunction with the client when the roof is evaluated.

Is Impervius able to address water infiltration in other parts of the house (exteriors, foundations, walls)?
Impervius is a specialist in various types of waterproofing for the building envelope. We provide & install high performance materials for roofs, foundations, and all types of structures. Our objective is to offer the longest-lasting, most durable waterproofing solution possible, at an honest price and in a positive environment.
